Funny work memes you can play

Funny work memes you play with one button. Every day has ten, the same for everyone, and they get faster as you go. Mute before the dog barks, leave at 5:00 on the dot and never reply all.

Ten memes, one button. Do what the slip says.

Normal week. Ten memes, faster as you go.

Normal week. Ten memes, faster as you go.

How to play the work memes game

You play ten work memes in a row, a few seconds each. Each one opens with its word on a slip over the picture, the same word as on the button, and counts you in: 3, 2, 1.

There is one button. Press it, or press Space, when the line under the picture says so. You can also tap the picture. Two memes want it held: the coffee and the team photo.

Good to know

  • The memes speed up twice, so the last few are the fastest.
  • Some days change the round. On Crunch time everything runs a step faster, and a Short week plays seven memes.
  • Turn on Take your time and everything runs at half speed. A hold becomes one press to start and one to stop.

How the work memes game scores

Each meme you win scores points, winning it well adds more, and your bonus multiplies both.

What you doPoints
Win a meme100
Win it well: an early press, a pour near the middle of the marksUp to 50 more
Lose a meme0

A win that earns most of those 50 gets you kudos, and kudos raise your bonus by 0.5, up to ×3. A lost meme drops it by 1, never below ×1. Each win’s points are multiplied by the bonus you played it on.

Ten wins with kudos in a row make 3,750, the best possible score. At the end you get the meme of your round, one frame with its line.

Daily and solo rounds

Everyone who plays today gets the same ten memes in the same order. Solo deals a new run for practice.

Work jokes and office rewards

Work jokes

Each of these work jokes fits in one chat message.

  • My manager’s door is always open. It leads to a meeting room booked until Friday.
  • Reply-all is how the whole company learns one person’s lunch order.
  • Per my last email means I have the timestamp and I’m ready to use it.
  • We’re told we’re a family here, which explains the group chat nobody can leave.
  • Every all-hands is a round of buzzword bingo nobody admits to playing.
  • The deadline was Friday, so the quick review starts Friday at 4:30 pm.
  • The team told the organizer the Thursday game was great. It’s now every Thursday.

Office rewards instead of a raise

When the raise isn’t coming, the office hands out one of these instead.

  1. Pizza. One slice each, counted before the box opens at the office pizza party.
  2. Branded lip balm. Handed out in the year profits broke the record.
  3. Socks. For the most productive person on the team, who is less productive from then on.
  4. Employee of the Month. A framed photo near the elevators. Payroll never hears about it.
  5. The ice cream social. It’s on Friday. Please bring your own ice cream.
